POPULIST ACT

A recent survey found that 55% of Americans agreed with the statement “The economic and political systems in the country are stacked against people like me.”

This election year, we the people of the United States can unstack the system by demanding Congress pass the Partnership of Ordinary People Undermining Lobbyist Influence for Societal Transformation Act of 2026 (“POPULIST Act”). Legislation written by the people, for the people, means that lobbyists can’t get their dirty fingers all over it… if Congress delivers, our 250th birthday will truly be a cause for celebration.

The POPULIST Act unstacks our economic system by taking on corporate power in many forms. The legislative package has 13 titles, and includes hundreds of policies to put the United States on a direct path to a bright and bountiful future. As each title is completed, it will be posted here; click on the links below to download the text.

This draft version of the POPULIST Act will be refined over the coming months and offered to Congress with a demand for preelection passage. Incumbents who meet this demand are eligible for my endorsement in 2026 with the Populist Fusion slate of candidates.

Although I had intended to complete this draft by January 15, turning soundbites into specific legislative proposals is taking longer than I hoped. I’ve felt in the home stretch for weeks now, but the POPULIST Act is at 1,100 pages and counting. Most of the titles are mostly done, but I’ve left some of the most complicated work for last. Check back soon for updates!
