The POPULIST Act is a legislative package intended to address many of the policy issues in the United States that Congress has ignored for years or decades. The title, which stands for Partnership of Ordinary People Undermining Lobbyist Influence for Societal Transformation, includes many demands:
- No more government shutdowns
- Paying off the national debt with a jubilee
- Prohibiting members of Congress from trading stock
- Pulling apart monopolies
- Strengthening laws against anti-competitive behavior
- Reforming our immigration system
- Eliminating poverty among American families
- Reforming our healthcare system to ensure universal access
- Protecting our environment
A draft version will be published here on January 15, 2026; it will be refined throughout the year and then offered to Congress with a demand for preelection passage. Incumbents who meet this demand are eligible for my endorsement in 2026 with the Populist Fusion slate of candidates.
