My name is Brian, and I’m asking for your vote on November 3, 2026. As the United States celebrates its 250th birthday, it is clear that we are not living up to our full potential as a nation; gridlock in Congress has allowed many societal problems to go unaddressed for years or decades. Most Americans agree that our political and economic systems are stacked against us: something has to change.

I’m asking for your vote in the midterms, but not FOR me; I am NOT a candidate for public office. Instead, I’m asking you to vote WITH me to un-stack our political and economic systems. As a cohesive bloc of votes nationwide, untethered to the two party system, we can reshape America’s political structure. Although it’s popular to hate on Congress and want to see them all kicked out of office, my campaign uses game theory, the principles of nonviolence, and the organizing tactics of Martin Luther King Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, and Cesar Chavez. Unconditional love means offering every single member of Congress a chance for redemption.

Here’s how I do that: since Congress has been failing to do the desperately needed policy work for the country, I will lead a group of concerned citizens in writing good policy for the nation. I spent most of my 30s serving in the state legislature – I’ve seen the sausage made from the inside. These policies will be compiled into one comprehensive legislative package: The POPULIST Act. It will reform our economic system, defeat the national debt, address poverty and homelessness, enforce antitrust law and break up monopolies, improve our immigration and healthcare systems, trim the bloated military-industrial complex, steward the environment for future generations, promote stronger families, and tackle other important issues.

A nonviolent campaign, as Martin Luther King Jr. explained in his Letter from Birmingham Jail, has four steps. Injustices must be identified first; then negotiation, self-purification, and last, direct action taken. Through December 2025, I am accepting proposals that identify injustices in the United States, preferably coupled with federal legislative remedies, to be included in the POPULIST Act.

On January 15, 2026 – the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. – I will publish a draft of the POPULIST Act encompassing the demands of this campaign, and we will move into the negotiation phase. Throughout the year, concerned citizens, including members of Congress, can offer refinements to the package; it will likely be trimmed down. Details will be clarified. Unlike most politicians who campaign on nebulous soundbites (“Create jobs!”,”Protect Social Security!”) the POPULIST Act will include all the proposed changes to the US Code needed to deliver real solutions to the people of the United States.

The third component of a nonviolent campaign is self-purification , and it takes the form of a group fast. Since 2017, I have promoted a monthly fast for peace, answering a challenge Gandhi laid out at the end of his life: “The 15th is the day of our trial; observe a fast on that day.” Individuals from all 50 states and across six continents have participated. The fast for peace – no food or intoxicants for 24 hours, and drinking only water – is self-purification but has other important aspects as well. (Add your pledge here.) As my own personal commitment to this campaign, I will undertake additional aspects of self-purification; longer periods of fasting as well as sobriety, celibacy, and living in poverty.

Last, direct action. At noon on October 30, 2026, I will release the Populist Fusion slate, a list of 470 endorsements spanning every Congressional race in the nation. It will include candidates from both the red team and the blue team; not based on party affiliation, but whether a candidate is an Incumbent or a Challenger. If 3.5% of voters nationwide agree to vote for the Populist Fusion slate, we will be able to decide dozens of races and determine whether the red team or the blue team controls the next Congress. This leverage is what will bring party leadership to the negotiation table.

The Populist Fusion slate of endorsements has two possible outcomes. If Congress has passed the POPULIST Act and met our terms, every Incumbent, regardless of party or anything they’ve done in the past, is eligible for inclusion on the Populist Fusion slate. Should Congress refuse, however, all of their major party opponents will have the opportunity to win the Populist Fusion endorsements. In short, the Vote with Brian campaign is intended to send a message to Washington: go big or go home!
